Translation Technology Specialist
In a world where AI is becoming increasingly ubiquitous, my goal is to envision systems that prioritise the needs and experiences of human users, particularly language professionals. By focusing on UX and HCI, I aim to empower them to work more effectively and to enjoy interacting with translation tools.I am a Research Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University. Before that, I completed my PhD at the Universitat Politècnica de València, where my research focused on assessing and augmenting post-editing environments. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have over five years of experience as a translator, and industry experience as Linguistic Engineer and then User Researcher at LanguageWire, where I applied my expertise to develop solutions that make translation technology more efficient and user-friendly.Beyond my research and professional work, I am actively involved in the academic community. I serve as an editorial administrator at the Journal of Natural Language Processing and contribute to the organisation of various conferences such as NeTTIT and RANLP.Feel free to reach out if you would like to connect or collaborate!
